Selangor Royal Trail Fam Trip Explores Cultural Tourism Concept


SHAH ALAM – Starting from 6 August, Tourism Selangor is organizing a two-day Selangor Royal Trail Fam Trip in three districts, namely Kuala Selangor, Kuala Langat and Klang.

The tour aims to introduce a new tourism package initiative known as the State of Culture, History and Sultanate of Selangor.

Accompanied by media representatives from local and international agencies, the tour package will feature some of the best travel centers through the segments of heritage, culture and the arts.

The venture is also expected to be a new attraction for tourists to visit and thus make Selangor well-known for its tourism-focused products.

The opening ceremony was initiated by the Exco of Culture and Tourism, Malay Civilization and Heritage, Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari and was held at the Lecture Hall, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque here today.

In his speech, Abdul Rashid said the state government had targeted 7.9 million tourists by 2020.

According to statistics, tourist arrivals to Selangor last year recorded 7.23 million domestic and foreign tourists while this year it targeted 7.7 million tourists.
