Odor pollution: Water supply in 4 Regions Recovered

SHAH ALAM – Four counties affected by odour pollution at the Semenyih River water source on 28 September have recovered completely.

Head of the Customer Relations and Communications Department of Air Selangor Management Sdn Bhd, Abdul Raof Ahmad, said it was based on monitoring of pool levels and pressure readings in the distribution system that was performed until 12 noon today.

“We would also like to provide feedback on some complaints regarding water quality,” he stated.

“Investigations and inspections at 120 complainants’ premises until 12 noon confirmed that Air Selangor’s water supply was in compliance with water quality standards set by the Ministry of Health,” he said in a press statement.

He said Air Selangor also thanked all parties, especially customers for their cooperation during the interruption and recovery of supply and apologized for any inconvenience.

“Please contact us if customers need any assistance regarding service and supply disruption,” he said.

The public can download the Air Selangor mobile phone application for information or call 15300 or WhatsApp at 019-281 6793 / 019-280 0919.
