Sunway-Rentwise Donates 40 Computer Units

SHAH ALAM – The Sunway Education Group, in collaboration with Rentwise Sdn Bhd, is launching a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by donating 40 computer units to the Raja Muda Musa Tamil National Kindergarten (SJKT).

Rentwise chief executive, Leanne Ooi said the CSR initiative was carried out due to the school’s computers poor conditions that could not support the online learning that was introduced by the Ministry of Education.

She said more than RM 52,000 was allocated for the purchase of the Dell Optiplex 7010 and Dell 22 LED-WIDE Black Monitor.

“Rentwise started and implemented the CSR program as part of community development,” said Leanne.

“Over the past few years, Rentwise has helped establish and upgrade existing information technology infrastructure facilities in a number of schools in need,” she said in a statement.

Leanne stated that through the core of her company’s self-development, she wanted to empower the youth to advance into the global technology and digital arena.

“At Rentwise, we are very passionate about education. We believe education is the way out of poverty, education is a better life,” she noted.

“Rentwise continues to be committed to improving the education infrastructure with a comprehensive digital platform,” she added.

Since 2009, Rentwise has provided 573 sets of RM 744,900 reproduced computers that benefit more than 17,000 students throughout primary and secondary schools and several NGOs and communities throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
