CPSTI Aids Educators in Student Development


BESTARI JAYA – The National Secondary School Transformation and Innovation Conference (CPSTI) aims to help educators in Selangor leverage the quality of 21st-century educational pedagogy towards holistic student development.

EXCO Young Generation, Sports and Human Capital Development, Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the University of Selangor (UNISEL) is the first program in collaboration with the Sunway National Secondary School (SMK) of Bandar Sunway and the SMK Section 19 Shah Alam as a platform for educators to exchange ideas and innovations new to learning.

He said the conference entitled ‘STREAM Exploration Promotes PdPc Innovation to Student Advancement’ was also a facilitator in line with current science and technology developments.

“Programs like CPSTI provide educators with the best opportunity to produce more holistic, creative and innovative students,” he said.

“I am confident that all inputs throughout the program will help educators and students continue to innovate in their quest to produce competent individuals in the global market,” he added.

He was speaking at the opening of CPSTI, at the UNISEL Bestari Jaya campus, here, recently attended by UNISEL President and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dato’ Dr Mohammad Redzuan Othman.

The two-day conference brought together about 900 participants from educators and high school students from all over Selangor.

In line with efforts to obtain national ratings to boost the quality of 21st-century educational pedagogy, the program is also staffed by the Selangor State Education Department (NRD), Federal Territory NRD, NRD Melaka, NRD Johor and NRN Negeri Sembilan.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Redzuan described the program as a platform for young people to explore and develop all the potential students have.

“This is so that it can benefit not only ourselves but the community and the nation,” he said.

Earlier, the program focused on presentations from several representatives of educational agencies across the country including ‘Leadership in Trust School’ presented by Batu Pahat District Education Officer Md Said Md Daimon.

The forum entitled ‘The Role of the Holders in the Development of Student Education’ was presented by three panels of Ahmad Ismail, Dr Kasuma Satria Mat Jadi and Hashim Anang.
