Mini MAPEX for Selangor homebuyers to be held in Nov

PETALING JAYA, Oct 31 — The Selangor branch of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) will hold two mini Malaysia Property Expos (MAPEXs) this November as part of the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2019.

MAPEX Ampang/Selayang will be held this weekend on Nov 1-3 at Melawati Mall, while MAPEX Shah Alam/Klang will take place on Nov 14-17 at Central I-City Mall. Both are open from 10am to 10pm.

REHDA Selangor chairman Zulkifly Garib said compared to the recently held MAPEX at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre on Oct 18-20, which showcased properties in the Klang Valley area, these two expos cater for a more localised market, targeting house buyers in the east and west of the Selangor corridor.

“The theme for both events, ‘Quality Home for a Better Living’, reflects our commitment to promoting homeownership especially affordably-priced houses as well as ensuring better quality housing for the rakyat,” he said at a media conference yesterday.

So far, he said, five developers have signed up for the Ampang/Selayang event, besides two government agencies — the Federal Territories Affordable Homes Programme (Rumawip) and Rumah Selangorku.

The properties on sale are located in Ampang, Bandar Sunway, Taman Melati, Old Klang Road, Petaling Jaya, Taman Melawati, Cyberjaya and Selayang, among others.

Meanwhile, Zulkifli said the slightly bigger Shah Alam/Klang expo will feature 11 participating developers with an estimated 2,800 units for sale and forecast sales of RM100 million.

The properties are in Shah Alam, Puchong, Sungai Buloh, Rawang, Klang, Denai Alam, Setia Alam, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Puncak Alam and Subang Bestari, among others.

RHB Bank is the participating financial institution for both events, which will offer attractive discounts and packages.
