Only 6 Areas Affected by Water Purification Issue


SHAH ALAM – A total of 27 out of 33 affected areas following a water supply problem showed recovery until 6 pm on 6 October.

Head of Customer Relations and Communications Management Department of Air Selangor Management Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), Abdul Raof Ahmad, said the inspection and purification activities of the pool and distribution system were ongoing to ensure all areas affected by the case were fully recovered.

“A total of 37 freshwater complaints were received until 6 pm and we continued to conduct inspections and cleanings and servicing pools, as well as cleaning of the piping system within the area of complaint.

“To date, we have inspected and cleaned up over 160 service pools,” he said in a statement.

The six affected areas were Puchong Prima, Petaling; Flower Development Series, Petaling; Saujana Puchong, Petaling; Section 3, Bangi, Hulu Langat; Salak High, Sepang and Saujana Putra, Kuala Langat.

Abdul Raof said he would continue to provide alerts including current status and customers could call 15300 or WhatsApp at 019-2800919 / 019-2816793 if they were still experiencing bad water supply.
