SHAH ALAM, Nov 8 — A total of 192,564 applicants have registered for the Rumah Selangorku housing scheme as of September this year.
Selangor Housing and Urban Living Committee chairman Haniza Mohamed Talha said that there are 56,782 pending applications as well as those on the waiting list under the Rumah Selangorku Registration System (SPPR).
She said about as of September 2019, 14,781 applicants have moved into the homes under the scheme.
“The Rumah Selangorku scheme was introduced in 2014. Overall, a total of 277 housing projects (121,695 units) was approved by the Selangor government through the State Executive Council (MMKN).
“As of October 15, a total of 38 projects (14,781 units) was completed and handed over to its respective owners,” she said in response to a question by Air Tawar assemblyman Rizam Ismail at the state legislative assembly here today.
Haniza added that 61 projects (22,274 units) are under construction while another 178 projects (84,640 units) are still in the planning stage.
