Air Selangor in rebranding process

SHAH ALAM, Feb 26 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) is in the process of rebranding as part of its efforts to give the best service to the consumers, said its corporate communications head.

Abdul Halem Mat Som had advised consumers to use the name Air Selangor, as it is the sole water supplier in the central region, instead of Syabas (Syarikat Belakan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd).

He said the company would also introduce a new logo as part of the rebranding process.

“Air Selangor is the sole licensee of water supply services in Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, and have received the license to carry out water treatment and distribution since September 13, last year.

“Therefore, we had issued the water bills under the name Air Selangor to replace Syabas since September 2019,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Air Selangor had taken over three of the four water concessionaires — Syabas, Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd, and Konsortium Abass Sdn Bhd — in 2015, while the acquisition of Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash) was completed last year.

Abdul Halem said consumers may contact Air Selangor at 15300, which operates 24 hours, for any further inquiries or complaints on its water supply services, or download the Air Selangor app from Google Play or Apps Store for updated information and inquiries.

He added that the toll-free line (PUSPEL) at 1-800-88-5252 is no longer in service.
