Automotive, eco-tourism, services industry to develop Hulu Selangor

HULU SELANGOR, Feb 3 — The state government will focus on three core clusters in Hulu Selangor that has the highest potential in driving socio-economic growth of the people here said Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

Amirudin said the development of Hulu Selangor would focus on growing the automotive, eco-tourism, and services industries in the constituency by 2035.

“I hope to see more industry players such as Perodua, UMW Aerospace, Tan Chong Motor Holdings and many others develop in Hulu Selangor.

“With the various infrastructure initiatives offered, I am confidents that the Selangor district would be more dynamic and would become the preferred destination for operation and large-scale production centres,” said Amirudin at the launch of the public participation of the Hulu Selangor District Local Draft Plan 2035 in Kuala Kubu Bharu, here today.

He stressed that the state government would ensure 50 per cent of the green area in Hulu Selangor would be maintained, which would focus as a tourist attraction.

Among the tourist spots the district has to offer include white water rafting in Sungai Selangor, the Batang Kali orchid farm and Orang Asli village, and Sungai Chiling waterfalls.
