BNM monitoring political, financial development in the country

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 — Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is closely monitoring conditions in the financial markets, in light of the recent developments surrounding the country’s political landscape.

“While ringgit movements will continue to be market-determined, BNM’s market operations will ensure sufficient liquidity and orderly financial market conditions,” it said in a statement here, today.

At 5 pm the ringgit was traded at 4.2230/2270 as against the US dollar.
