SHAH ALAM, Feb 5 — Tourism Selangor has provided a platform that puts together the various tourism products and packages in the state, called the ‘JomSave’ app.

Its general manager Azrul Shah Mohamad said the phone application was developed in collaboration with JS E-Comm Sdn Bhd, aimed to attract more visitors in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) and Visit Selangor 2021.

“JomSave is a free application that provides access to existing tourism deals. With this, travellers would be able to enjoy exciting rewards, such as redeeming cash vouchers for various products and services such as hotels, entertainment, restaurants and shopping malls,” he said.

Azrul said tourism industry operators are encouraged to use the ‘JomSave’ app to attract more customers.

With an expected eight million tourists in 2020 compared to 7.7 million arrivals the previous year, the state government is confident that a variety of tourism products would attract both domestic and foreign visitors.

The Selangor government’s efforts are part of the VM2020’s mission, which aims to bring 30 million or more international tourist arrivals into the country, generating up to RM100 billion in tourism revenue throughout the year.
