30 areas in Klang disinfected

SHAH ALAM, March 30 — Disinfection operation was carried in 30 premises in Klang in efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19, said Klang Health Department director today.

Azmi Muji said among the areas involved were the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) headquarters, Klang Land and District Offices, MPK Plaza, North Klang bus station, North Klang post office, Meru, Port Klang and Kapar market, Klang commuter station and Pandamaran sports complex.

“The disinfection process was conducted by 15 health personnel since March 23. They were provided with the disinfecting equipment as well as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as a safety measure.

“We used the mixture of water and bleach solution. We will continue this operation until the situation improves,” he told Selangorkini when contacted today.

Klang is one of the 15 red zones identified by the Health Ministry with 62 positive Covid-19 cases recorded as of yesterday noon.
