Fuel prices continue to drop

By Ashwin Kumar

SHAH ALAM, March 27 — The retail prices of both RON95 and RON97 petrol will drop by six sen per litre from March 28 to April 3.

The Finance Ministry, in a statement today, said the prices of RON95 and RON97 will be at RM1.38 and RM1.68 per litre respectively from midnight tonight.

The price of diesel will also drop by seven sen to RM1.68 per litre.

“The drop in fuel prices is caused by falling crude oil prices following the global economic uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic,” the statement said.

The statement added that the government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate steps to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people.
