Spike in new Covid-19 cases in Selangor, MB calls public to curb the outbreak

SHAH ALAM, March 31 — Selangor sees a spike in new Covid-19 positive cases with 60 cases as of noon yesterday, bringing the total in the state to 672.

Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari had continued to urge the people to play their role in combatting the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Abide by the orders given by the authorities and stay at home.

“We must win this battle,” he said on his official Twitter account, yesterday.

The data from the Health Ministry yesterday had shown Selangor to record the highest number of cases in the country.

This is followed by Kuala Lumpur with 396 cases, Johor (333), Sabah (201), Perak (184), Negri Sembilan (172), Sarawak (135) and Kelantan (127).

Whereas 99 cases are recorded in Pahang, Penang (88), Kedah (77), Melaka (50), Terengganu (47), Putrajaya (24), Perlis (11) and Labuan (10).
