Take movement control order seriously, says MB

KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 — Selangor Mentri Besar has urged everyone, including the people of Selangor, to take the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) seriously.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari via his official Twitter account said the public must provide full cooperation to the authorities including police and the armed forces.

“Help the government to keep Malaysia free from the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, traffic reports from a radio station found that the traffic flow along the Shah Alam Highway was congested.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Monday stressed on the importance of social distancing among the public after his ministry found that there is still a low level of understanding among the people.

He said many essential shoppers who did not practice the social distancing order.

The authorities have been tasked to ensure Malaysians practise social distancing, which includes taking turns to enter wet markets or supermarkets.
