By Nadiah Zamlus

SHAH ALAM, April 30 — A total of 72,399 students from Year One to Form Five have registered under the state’s free e-learning platform, says the Selangor Education Foundation senior director.

Zahura Zakry said the online learning platform which runs from April 1 to May 31 was well-received not only by the State Education Department but also by both teachers and parents.

“The registration is still open and we hope that the online platform will be fully utilised.

“It also serves as an added value for the existing educational content under the Education Ministry (KPM),” she told SelangorKini when contacted today.

Zahura said the foundation had targetted a total of 250,000 students to enrol in the programme.

“In line with the core business of the foundation, we are committed to ensuring that all students in the state do not miss out on learning even during the movement control order (MCO),” she added.

The e-learning platform, which is available via selangortutor.com, is an initiative under the second phase of the Selangor economic stimulus package, Selangor Cares 2.0.

The platform was introduced in collaboration with the Menteri Besar Selangor Inc (MBI Selangor) and coordinated by the Selangor Education Foundation.

A total of 130,000 online worksheets that are in line with the Education Ministry curriculum are accessible for the students.

Parents are also able to access the application, especially to keep track of their children’s online learning from time to time.
