Active cases drop, Klang district no longer a red zone

SHAH ALAM, April 28 — The Klang district is now a yellow zone as it has recorded a considerable drop in active Covid-19 patients with 29 cases yesterday, compared to 44 on Sunday.

According to the data produced by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre of the Selangor State Health Department, Hulu Langat and Petaling districts are still a red zone with 72 and 44 recorded active cases respectively.

There are 183 active cases out of the 1,398 total tallies in Selangor. The death toll remains at 17.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said while Pasir Panjang in Sabak Bernam and Tanjung Karang in Kuala Selangor are now yellow zones with one recorded case each, Batang Berjuntai, Ijok, and Jeram townships in Kuala Selangor have improved with zero recorded active cases.

Hulu Langat is the remaining township in the red zone with 54 active cases.

“(This is) positive! If we love Malaysia, keep practising social distancing and good hygiene habits,” the task force said on Twitter last night.

Selangor saw a downward trend in daily recorded cases yesterday with 4 cases, compared to the 17 cases registered on Sunday.

“There is a downward trend and also a single digit,” said STFC.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia is 5,820 with a total of 1,764 total active cases.
