Hulu Selangor tops MCO compliance in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, April 9 — With zero arrests recorded in Hulu Selangor since the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO) on March 18, the district is said to have the highest compliance level in the state, BH Online reported.

Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Arsad Kamarudin commended the accomplishment and said he hopes that the situation would continue until the second phase of the MCO ends on April 14.

“I am impressed and I applaud the attitude of the people in the Hulu Selangor district who have been very obedient in following the government’s directive in protecting themselves against the risks of Covid-19.

“Our personnel, with the help of the Armed Forces (ATM), have carried out their duties with utmost dedication and responsibility while manning the roadblocks, patrols, and security posts,” he was quoted by the Malay daily.

Arsad said road users have been cooperative during the checks and have provided valid authorised documents for their travels.

He said there are seven roadblocks and two road closures in the district since the enforcement of the MCO.

As of yesterday noon, Hulu Selangor recorded 26 Covid-19 positive cases, 15 in Serendah, eight in Batang Kali and one case each in Ampang Pecah, Hulu Bernam and Kalumpang.
