Malindo Air’s IATA operational safety audit registration renewed

KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 — Malindo Airways Sdn Bhd’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration has been renewed for another two-year term, starting today until June 3, 2022.

This follows the completion of audit procedures certification for conformity to the International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) for the second time, said chief executive officer Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri.

He said the certification is a valuable safety validation for Malindo Air as it aligns the airline with the global best safety practice.

“It (certificate) helps to ensure our continuous operational management and control systems are in accordance with the IATA standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

“It, therefore, sets Malindo Air at par with the international aviation industry requirements,” he said in a statement today.

IOSA is an internationally recognised and accepted evaluation system designed to access the operational management and control systems of an airline, which occurs every two years once the airline successfully completes the first audit.

Mushafiz added that as a member of IATA, Malindo Air must go through an extensive safety audit by IOSA every two years.
