RM100.7 for digital industry in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, April 2 — The Selangor government has allocated RM100.7 million to drive the state’s economy through the digital industry.

Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said industry which involves e-learning, Selangor Advance and Selangor Grab Digital Initiative, is capable of creating job opportunities as well as safeguarding the welfare of the existing workers.

“RM700,000 of the amount has been set aside to benefit 250,000 students from Year One to Form Five in the state through e-learning that will be streamlined by the Selangor Foundation.

“We hope to see the students would be able to continue their studies despite schools being closed,” he told a broadcasted press conference on the Selangor Cares Package 2.0 at his official residence here yesterday.
