Earlier, Selangor Public Amenities, Agricultural Modernisation and Agro-based Industry Committee chairman Izham Hashim said the state administration is mulling to expand the Selangor Agro Market in other locations to meet the public demand as Ramadan approaches.

He said the two areas proposed are in Ampang and Sungai Buloh.

The Selangor Agro Market is currently available in nine locations — Holysmoke Cafe in Section 13, Shah Alam, Mak Uda Restaurant in Section 15, Shah Alam, Mad About Cafe in Petaling Jaya, FAMA Operations Centres in Dengkil, Puchong, Kuala Selangor and Sabak Bernam, the Selayang farmer’s market (pasar tani) and My Farm Outlet in Putrajaya.

The state government had initiated the programme on March 27 to ensure that the people have access to affordable fresh produce as well as to address the oversupply issue.
