SHAH ALAM, April 10 — Team Bosskurr has emerged as the champion of the Selangor Cyber Games for the e-sport title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, after defeating Geek Fam 2-1 in the final round yesterday.

The result was shared by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on his official Twitter account last night.

The winning team, which was represented by Logan, Leixia, Zaraki, Syno and Scott, took home a cash prize of RM6,000.

In the opening match, Team Bosskur had defeated Ezzy Esports (MyA) before beating the M1 World Championship third-place winner, Todak, in the next round.

However, the professional team had lost 0-2 against Geek Fam in the quarter-final, which pushed them to the bottom placement.

Following the defeat, Team Bosskur had met Todak again in the following round and won with a score of 2-0.

The ‘stay-at-home’ online tournament was organised by the state government, through the collaboration between Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) and event organiser IO Esports as well as the Selangor State Sports Council (MSNS), to encourage the people to remain at home throughout the movement control order (MCO).

The e-games offered a total cash prize of RM40,000 in its online edition with a minimum registration fee of RM10 imposed and donated to the Selangor Covid-19 Fund.
