SHAH ALAM, May 6 — The Selangor Tutor short video competition will go on until May 10, says the Selangor Education Foundation.

Senior director Zahura Zakry said the competition has two categories, namely for primary level and secondary schoolers, and was initiated to give the opportunity for the students to show their talents while focusing on their academic lessons through selangortutor.com.

“The competition had begun on April 26 until May 3 for the first week and will continue for the second week.

“The participants have the chance of winning book vouchers. The terms and conditions of the contest can be found on the Yayasan Selangor social media platforms — Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter,” she said in a statement today.

Four students were announced to have won the first round of the creative video contest.

The winner for the primary school catergory is T Srinikhiesh from Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Empat Bandar Baru, Bangi.

As for the secondary school category, the winners are Nurul Fikriyah Kamarzaman from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Pengkalan Permatang Kuala Selangor, Rakin Rashidi (SMK Seksyen 7), and Muhamad Firdaus Azman (Sekolah Agama Menengah Bestari Subang Jaya).

Meanwhile, Zahura said as of yesterday, 76,000 students have registered and are utilising the e-learning platform since it was first launched.

“During the same period of time, over 500,000 exercises and 2.3 million tests have been answered. We hope more students in Selangor would signup for the programme before May 31,” she added.

The e-learning platform, which had kicked-off on April 1, is an initiative under the second phase of the Selangor economic stimulus package, Selangor Cares 2.0.

The platform was introduced in collaboration with the Menteri Besar Selangor Inc (MBI Selangor) and coordinated by the Selangor Education Foundation.
