Three Selangor townships once again yellow zones

SHAH ALAM, May 22 — Dengkil, Sepang, and Hulu Kelang townships have once again turned into yellow zones following an increase in active Covid-19 cases, yesterday.

According to the data provided by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) of the Selangor State Health Department, both Dengkil and Hulu Kelang recorded one new case each while Sepang registered three new cases.

In a Facebook post last night, the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said traffic reports had shown many people had attempted travelling interstate to return back to their hometown for Hari Raya.

“This is very irresponsible and would only make the efforts made by those who are disciplined go in vain.

“We must remind one another to be responsible and not to be selfish. These selfish acts can give a great impact on the nation as a whole,” said the task force.

Selangor had registered eight new coronavirus cases as of noon yesterday, bringing the total cases to 1,673, out of the cumulative figure of 7,059 in Malaysia.

The death toll in Selangor remains at 21.
