By Ida Nadirah Ibrahim

SHAH ALAM, June 2 — The Hulu Langat township is now in the yellow zone as it has recorded 12 Covid-19 recoveries yesterday, from registering 47 active cases on Sunday to 35.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 said this brings only two townships in the state declared as a red zone, which includes Semenyih under the Hulu Langat district, with 68 active Covid-19 cases, and Labu under the Sepang district, with 60 active Covid-19 cases.

“The situation in Hulu Langat township has improved as it is not a yellow zone. There are only two townships classified as a red zone.

“Keep practising the new normal such as social distancing, good personal hygiene, and wearing the face mask. Your life and health security should always be a priority,” the task force said on Facebook last night.

According to the data provided by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) of the Selangor State Health Department, Hulu Langat has registered 116 Covid-19 active cases while Sepang remains with 64 active cases.

As of noon yesterday, Selangor saw an increase in 11 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total tally to 1,920 out of the 7,857 cases reported nationwide.
