State Youth, Sports and Human Capital Development Committee chairman Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the Selangor administration remains committed to providing activities for the public, especially the youth, to participate in.

“The state government’s role is to support the public’s interests by providing them with a platform (to do the activities),” he told SelangorKini when contacted today.

The inaugural virtual event includes the Selangor Xtiv Virtual e-Sport, Selangor Virtual Run as well as Selangor Martial Art Xtiv with a total cash prize of RM431,000.

The online tournament, which aims to encourage the youths to participate in beneficial activities during the movement control order (MCO) period enforced on March 18, is carried out in eight phases and will end on December 31, 2020.
