Petrol price up by 8 sen, diesel 10 sen

SHAH ALAM, June 12 — Fuel prices will be going up across the board starting Saturday.

The price of both RON97 and RON95 petrol will go up by eight sen from RM1.78 to RM1.86 per litre, and from RM1.48 to RM1.56 per litre respectively from June 13 to June 19.

The price of diesel will go up by 10 sen from RM1.63 to RM1.73 per litre during the same period.

The Finance Ministry in a statement today said that the price increase was due to the hike in refined product prices in line with the rise in global crude oil prices.

“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price change and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the people,” the statement read.
