Three new Covid-19 cases in Selangor, no local transmission reported

SHAH ALAM, June 9 — Selangor has registered three new Covid-19 cases for the second consecutive day with no local infection reported, says the state operation centre.

This brings the total Covid-19 figure in the state to 1,971 with 213 active cases.

“Two of the cases were imported from Saudi Arabia, while another one was from Indonesia,” said the operation centre.

The total recoveries recorded in Selangor is 1,624, while the death toll remains at 23.

Meanwhile, two districts in the state are still classified as a red zone, with 85 active cases recorded in Hulu Langat and 68 in Sepang.

The seven remaining districts are a yellow zone with Petaling recording 18 active cases, Gombak (13), Kuala Langat (12), Hulu Selangor (7), Klang (5), Kuala Selangor (4) and Sabak Bernam (1).
