Air Selangor: Treatment plant upgrade works complete, water to fully restore by 5pm Friday

SHAH ALAM, July 15 — Upgrading works at Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3) water treatment plant (LRA), which caused water cuts in the Klang Valley, have been completed at 11pm last night, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

It corporate communications head Elina Baseri said the plant will be reactivated and the water supply will be restored in stages as per schedule, beginning 9am today until 5pm on Friday.

“We would like to advise the customers to use the water wisely during this scheduled water supply disruption period as the water tankers will only be mobilised to residential areas on July 16 and 17 (Thursday and Friday).

“Currently, the water tankers have been sent to critical premises such as hospital and dialysis centres,” said Elina in a statement last night.

She said Air Selangor has also placed 82 static water tanks at schools that have reopened, clinics, and dialysis centres.
