One new Covid-19 infection in Selangor an imported case

SHAH ALAM, July 2 — The single Covid-19 case recorded in Selangor involved an imported case, says Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

“The infection was detected to have come from a patient who had travelled from Turkey,” he said on a Twitter post last night.

Meanwhile, in a separate post shared by the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC), the Kuala Selangor and Kuala Langat districts are now declared as a green zone.

“Now almost half of the districts in Selangor are classified as a green zone,” the task force said on Facebook last night.

According to the infographic provided by the STFC, Selangor has four districts categorised as green zones, which includes Hulu Langat and Sabak Bernam.

Five districts classified as yellow zones are namely Sepang with eight active Covid-19 cases, Klang (3), Petaling (2), and Hulu Selangor and Gombak with one case each.

The accumulated figure recorded in Selangor is 2,048, with 15 active cases.
