“Some of the overseas participants are from Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Japan, India and the United States of America. I believe this programme is beginning to grab people’s attention.

“This is a proud achievement and I wish to thank everyone who has worked hard in organising a beneficial activity that is in line with the youth’s need,” he said at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting here today.

Mohd Khairuddin had replied to a question from Balakong assemblyman Wong Siew Ki on activities that were organised during the movement control order (MCO) and effort to empower the Local Youth Movement (PeBT).

The inaugural event involves Selangor Xtiv Virtual e-Sport, Selangor Virtual Run and Selangor Martial Art Xtiv, with prizes totalling RM431,000.

The eight-phases competition ends on December 31, 2020. The virtual game is aimed to encourage the community especially youth to stay active during the conditional movement control order.
