All roads in Kuala Sanglang will be closed beginning today

KUALA PERLIS, Aug 10 — Police will be closing all exit and entry points in Kuala Sanglang beginning at 8am today.

Police would also intensify control at three rat trails, namely, one in Kampung Tanah Timbul and two in Kampung Kuala Sanglang, as the two villages are now placed under the targeted enhanced movement control order (TEMCO) to contain the spread of Covid-19 infection.

Perlis police chief Datuk Surina Saad said that all residents of Kampung Tanah Timbul had undergone screenings on Saturday, while Kampung Kuala Sanglang residents would do the same yesterday.

Once the screening processes have been completed, all routes would start to be fully closed today, she said.

“Residents in both villages are not allowed to leave the house and they have to serve quarantine at home until the TEMCO period is over,” she told reporters here yesterday.

She said that only the heads of families were allowed to go out to get necessities, limited to inside the TEMCO area only.

Meanwhile, Surina said that police are not issuing any letter permitting any individuals to go in or out of the TEMCO area. Such letters would only be issued by the Health Ministry.
