Malaysia stands ready to support Lebanon — Wisma Putra

KUALA LUMPUR, August 5 — Malaysia stands ready to support Lebanon in any way possible in the aftermath of the massive explosion that rocked Beirut, Lebanon, on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement today, said Malaysia extends its deepest condolences to the government and the brotherly people of Lebanon over the tragedy.

“Malaysia is shocked and saddened by the loss of lives and injuries due to the explosion yesterday (August 4). Thus far, no Malaysians have been reported to be directly affected by this incident,” the statement said.

Malaysians residing in Lebanon are advised to give utmost priority to their personal safety and follow instructions issued by the relevant authorities of Lebanon.
