SHAH ALAM, Aug 10 — The appointment of Norita Mohd Sidek as the new head of Selangor’s Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) proves the openness of the state government.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the vast experience of the former chief operating officer of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) could strengthen the consortium function of the state government subsidiary, especially after Covid-19.

“This is proof of the openness of the state government and I hope the chief executive officer can continue to develop MBI and complete the mission of Selangor becoming a Smart State by 2025,” Amirudin told SelangorKini on August 5.

Earlier, Norita met Amirudin at the Selangor Menteri Besar’s office and received her letter of appointment.

On August 3, Norita was appointed as the new chief executive officer of MBI to replace Raja Shahreen Raja Othman whose contract expired on November 30 last year.
