KUANG, Aug 24 — The Selangor administration under Pakatan Harapan (PH) will continue with its planned agenda to fulfil the mandate given by the people in the last general election two years ago.
The party chairman Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the coalition remains strong and stable and also has the support of several independent state representatives.
“I would like to express my appreciation to the Kuang state assemblyman (Sallehudin Amiruddin) for his continued support towards PH and to go on with the agenda that is aligned with the 2018 mandate,” said Amirudin when met at the Kampung Orang Asli Ulu Kuang, yesterday.
On August 14, Sallehudin had announced his exit from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). Batang Kali state assemblyman Harumaini Omar had followed suit the following day.
Jeram state assemblyman Mohd Shaid Rosli, who is also the Kuala Selangor Bersatu division chief, had left the party on August 8. All three state representative have expressed their support for the Selangor Menteri Besar.
Meanwhile, Sallehudin said his decision to stay with PH was made since March.
“The people gave their mandate to PH candidate, therefore, I will give my support even though I am now independent,” he said.
