Temporary closure of Ebor-Shah Alam access road

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 — The Ebor-Shah Alam access road at KM0 (Northbound) at the Shah Alam Interchange on the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) will be temporarily closed to all vehicles for five days, starting tonight.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) in a statement today said the road will be closed from 10 pm to 5 am until Aug 9 to facilitate and enable scheduled pavement maintenance works as continuous efforts to improve safety.

The statement said highway users travelling from Ebor/ELITE heading to Shah Alam/Bukit Jelutong are advised to utilise the alternative route by exiting the highway via Setia Alam toll plaza.

“They will have to re-enter the highway upon U-turn at the Setia Alam toll plaza and continue their journey to Shah Alam/Bukit Jelutong for smoother travel during the period,” the statement read.

PLUS also advised highway users to plan their journey and follow all traffic signages and instructions when passing through the stretch.

“PLUS is grateful and appreciates the cooperation of all highway customers throughout the maintenance period and their support in ensuring that the traffic flow is as smooth as possible,” it said.

Meanwhile, MMC-Gamuda in a separate statement said lane closures by stages will begin from Aug 7 to Nov 7 at Jalan 1/18B, Taman Batu Permai, near Permai Ria Condominium.

It said the closures will involve one lane of the Jalan 3/18A-bound (stage one) and half a lane of both the Jalan Ipoh-bound and Jalan 3/18A-bound (stage two), where during both closures, one lane will remain open at all times for motorists.

“Motorists are advised to follow the direction of traffic signage and flagmen during the activation of these road closures,” it added.
