Free from Covid-19, Selangor MB continues working from home

SHAH ALAM, Sept 29 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Amirudin Shari and wife, Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, have tested negative for Covid-19 after receiving the results from the coronavirus screening procedure made mandatory for travellers returning from Sabah.

In a Twitter posting today, Amirudin, however, said he will be working remotely from home to curb the risks of infection.

“Alhamdulillah (thank God), my wife and I are free from Covid-19. However, to avoid the risks, I will be working remotely from home and all meetings will be held online.

“Programmes that will involve groups of people will be represented by other state executive councillors on my behalf,” Amirudin wrote, adding that he will undergo another screening in the next four to five days.

Yesterday afternoon, Amirudin had gone through the mandatory Covid-19 screening at the Kuala Lumpur Internation Airport 2 (klia2) after his return from Sabah.

On a Twitter post yesterday, Amirudin had also shared a photo of him wearing the pink quarantine bracelet following the Health Ministry directive that individuals returning from Sabah must undergo mandatory screening and home quarantine beginning Sunday until October 10.

Amirudin was in Sabah since September 22 in support of Pakatan Harapan during the state election.
