SHAH ALAM, Sept 24 — Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) launched a portal-based eCOB Management System to gather and store integrated strata scheme data for multiple-storey housing.

Petaling Jaya mayor, Datuk Mohd Sayuthi Bakar said the system enables MBPJ’s Commissioner of Building (COB) unit to monitor the property joint management body (JMB) or community (JMC)’s implementation of its annual general meeting and financial report.

“This system has the potential to revamp the administrative management of service delivery because it is a more effective and systematic system. Moreover, it is easy to be managed.

“All the information which is obtained from the portal can assist in the planning, legislation and execution of policies by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government,  Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) and MBPJ in its development agenda as well as government transformation for the benefit of strata residents in Petaling Jaya,” said Mohd Sayuthi in a statement.

He said to expand the portal’s usage, the MBPJ’s COB unit will organise three dedicated seminar series and exercises for the JMB and JMC to guide them on the way to use it.

The eCOB web portal can be accessed via https://skep.lphs.gov.my/mbpj and more information can be obtained by contacting the unit at 03-79601646.
