MBSB Bank to open selected branches on two weekends to assist customers

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 — MBSB Bank Bhd (MBSB) will be conducting a Repayment Assistance Campaign (RAC) at some of its branches to cater to customers who require financial relief upon the expiry of the six-month moratorium on September 30, 2020.

President and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Ahmad Zaini Othman said customers will be able to have face-to-face discussions on the payment relief options available, including payment flexibility for targeted groups and account rescheduling and restructuring.

“We strongly encourage our customers to come to our branches and talk to our representatives, as we acknowledge the fact that some of them are still worried about their financial situation. 

“By opening our branches on these two weekends, hopefully we can address their concerns and issues,” he said in a statement today.

He said the bank’s branches in Butterworth, Melaka Raya, Johor Bahru, Kuantan and the Menara MBSB’s customer service centre in Kuala Lumpur will be operating from 10am till 5pm on September 26 – 27 2020, and on October 3 – 4, 2020.     

Individuals as well as SME customers are urged to visit the bank’s branches to enquire on suitable financing options. 

Standard operating procedures (SOP) will be enforced to reduce the risks of Covid -19.
