SHAH ALAM, Sept 28 — Nine operators of tourist attractions and services in Selangor has participated in the Jelajah Pesona Selangor 2020 programme in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, on September 22, which enables the direct promotion and introduction of tourism products to various industry players.

Tourism Selangor general manager Azrul Shah Mohamad said the business-to-business session held during the event is aimed to reach the target group consisting of the locals residing outside of Selangor, which would contribute towards boosting the state economy through the tourism industry.

The operators taking part in the programme include Sunway Lagoon, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Farm in the City, Chocolate Museum, GM Klang, Sky Mirror Tour & Travel, Selangor Homestay Association, Selangor Fruit Valley and JumpStreet Asia.

“The Jelajah Pesona Selangor programme is a good platform to introduce Selangor as a tourist destination, which offers various interesting tourism products both old and new.

“We hope that this smart cooperation would benefit all and at the same time bring the tourism industry to greater heights,” he said recently in a statement.

Azrul Shah added the programme opens up a wider opportunity for the tourism promotion plan in attracting more domestic tourists to visit the state.

In line with its Pusing Selangor Dulu campaign, the tour programme in Terengganu was also supported by the Terengganu Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) and Tourism Terengganu, as well as the Terengganu State Tourism, Information, Communications and Culture office, the Terengganu office of the Tourism Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac) and Tourism Malaysia (East Coast Region).
