Tabung Haji depositors need to ensure their account status stays active

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) depositors who made no transactions for more than seven consecutive years since 2013 are advised to activate their accounts to prevent them from being classified as inactive or dormant.

TH, in a statement today, said savings in the dormant account could still be claimed and paid to the depositor when it is reactivated by performing at least one savings transaction or withdrawal.

“Transactions can be done at 10,000 TH touch points either through the counters, online and via ATM/CDM machines of TH’s strategic partners, namely Bank Islam, Maybank, Bank Rakyat and CIMB.

“TH depositors must always ensure that their account status stays active, so that they can receive the benefits of savings in TH such as, government guaranteed savings, profit distribution, zakat payment, shariah compliant, tax exempt and also participate in savings or registration campaigns, and win prizes,” TH added.

For any inquiries on inactive accounts or any TH services, the public can contact the TH Customer Service (THCC) line at 03-6207 1919.
