10 nabbed in Ara Damansara wild party

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Police arrested 10 individuals, including five women, who attended a wild party at a house in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya last night.

Petaling Jaya District Police chief ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said all 10, aged between 27 and 45, nabbed in the 9.50 pm raid were also suspected to be involved in gambling activities.

“We have seized items such as carpets, cards, chips and dices used for gambling activities,” he said when contacted here today.

He said police also found a straw tube believed to contain ketamine weighing about 0.5 grams and four bottles of liquid suspected to be drug-laced juices kept in a cupboard of the house.

Nik Ezanee said all the individuals tested positive for ketamine, amphetamine and methamphetamine.

They have been remanded for four days and the case is being investigated under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, Section 7 (1) of Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 and Section 269 of the Penal Code.
