SHAH ALAM, Oct 25 — Some 1,200 individuals will undergo the Covid-19 screening procedure beginning today in preparation for the Selangor Legislative Assembly, which is scheduled to convene on October 30.

Selangor Speaker Ng Suee Lim said the screening operation includes state representatives, officers and members of the press.

“The screening is held following the emergence of several new clusters in Selangor as well as the enforced conditional movement control order.

“Only those who are tested negative will be allowed to attend the sitting,” he told SelangorKini.

The screening operation will be carried out for two days beginning today and tomorrow at the Selangor State Secretariat building, here.

Only July 7, the state government had conducted a similar screening for 700 individuals involved in the state assembly, which began on July 13.
