Dr Noor Hisham to hold media conference online from home

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 — Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah is now under home quarantine having being in contact with a Covid-19 positive case, but it will not deter him from bringing to the masses the latest development on the Covid-19 situation in the country.

Today, he is scheduled to hold a media conference live via the Health Ministry’s Facebook from his home, with no members of the press present, at 5.30pm, as informed by the ministry’s Corporate Communication Unit.

“We can have it (media conference) daily. Yes, I will take questions from the media,” said Dr Noor Hisham when contacted by Bernama.

Dr Noor Hisham is in self-quarantine at his home for having attended a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Department last Saturday, where Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who has been confirmed Covid-19 positive, was also present.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19 in the country in December last year, Dr Noor Hisham and his team have been providing updates on the situation daily from the Health Ministry in Putrajaya.

Today’s media conference can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/kementeriankesihatanmalaysia.
