Jais to hold Selangor Berselawat programme on Oct 28

SHAH ALAM, Oct 25 — The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) will hold the “Selangor Berselawat” programme which will be broadcast live from the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, here next Wednesday in conjunction with the state-level Maulidur Rasul 1442 Hijrah celebration.

Its director Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad in a statement yesterday said the programme would also be held simultaneously in all mosques and surau in the state via the Facebook page of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque.

“The recital of selawat and munajat will begin at 7.30pm led by Grand Imam of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, Muhammad Farhan Wijaya and continue with a special religious talk in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul,” he said.

Mohd Shahzihan said Muslims in Selangor can also follow the special talk via the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/masjidssaas.

He said the text of selawat and munajat can be downloaded from the Jais official portal at www.jais.gov.my or e-masjid.jais.gov.my.
