SUBANG JAYA, Oct 1 — The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) will allow the applications of licence renewal and advertisements for low-risk businesses to be made via online beginning today till December 31.
Its president Noraini Roslan said the ‘counter zero’ method is part of the new normal practices during the Covid-19 outbreak.
“This would reduce the risk of infection that could happen in crowded spaces as well as to curb close contact during the reviewing and renewal process.
“More than 80 per cent of the licence holders are categorised as low-risk, including eatery operators, business premises and offices,” said Noraini during the council’s full board meeting yesterday.
Application for the licence renewal can be made via the website http:/www.mpsj.gov.my, while new applicants must first register with My@MPSJ.
“High-risk licence holders, such as night club operators, however, should renew their licences at the integrated counters with the standard operating procedure (SOP) in place, from 8am to 5.30, Monday to Friday,” she added.
