PNB’s Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia goes digital

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) has introduced Minggu Saham Digital, a digital adaptation of Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM), in keeping up with the digital transformation.

In a statement, PNB said it is set to host its first-ever Minggu Saham Digital (MSD) (Digital Shares Week) from November 18-24, 2020 through Facebook and YouTube.

This seven-day livestream digital event would be broadcast daily between 12.30pm and 10.30pm.

“PNB has successfully positioned the MSAM as a much-awaited annual event with family-friendly and educational activities for two decades.

“MSD is a testament as to how PNB is constantly evolving and embracing new and interesting ways of engaging with our valued unit holders and with Malaysians at large, in our aim to strengthen financial literacy through easily navigable digital platforms,” said PNB group chairman Tan Sri Dr Zeti Aziz.

Every year, for two decades, PNB has provided a face-to-face in-person platform for the Malaysian public to become acquainted with the institution and its investee companies, as well as a way for PNB’s unit holders to be able to visualise how their investments contribute towards the strength of Malaysia’s economy.

Zeti said the digital event represents an important step towards PNB’s broader organisational transformation journey.

“By taking our flagship event online, Malaysians of all ages and different walks of life, will be able to enjoy exciting content from the comfort of their own homes or anywhere they may be where everything now can be at their fingertips,” she said.

PNB’s corporate partners for MSD consist of three tiers. In the Rakan Premier category are Maybank Bhd, Sime Darby Plantation Bhd and UMW Holdings Bhd.
