140 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Nov 18 — Selangor has registered a total 141 daily Covid-19 cases from the 660 new infections recorded nationwide.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this includes two imported infections in the state.

“Out of the total 139 local transmissions, 67 were from existing clusters, 28 from the screening of positive Covid-19 close contacts, and 44 from other Covid-19 testings,” he said in a statement today.

According to the data by the Selangor Health Department’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Klang district recorded the highest figure with 44 cases, followed by Hulu Langat (33), Petaling (29), Sepang (11), Kuala Langat (10), Gombak (6), Hulu Selangor (4) and Kuala Selangor (2).

Sabak Bernam district remains a green zone with zero cases.

Selangor also saw 170 recoveries out of the total 630 patients recorded to have recovered from the coronavirus today.
