Air Selangor: Water supply fully restored in Selangor, KL

SHAH ALAM, Nov 13 — Water supply to 1,279 areas in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur affected by the water cuts since Tuesday has been fully restored at noon today.

“Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) wishes to thank all consumers for their patience and cooperation given during this unscheduled water disruption period,” read its statement issued today.

Air Selangor advised users to get official statement on water supply disruption via its official social media channels via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Air Selangor’s smartphone application as well as its website at www.airselangor.com.

On Tuesday, the Sungai Selangor Phase 1, 2, 3 and Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plants were forced to suspend operations following a river pollution incident detected at 12.45pm.

A total of 1,139,008 users in 1,279 areas in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor and Kuala Lumpur were unexpectedly hit by the unscheduled water supply disruption that started at 6pm on November 10.
