EMCO: KPWKM to station counsellors in Medan 88

SEPANG, Nov 12 — The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) will station counsellors at Medan 88, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi which is under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).

Its minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun said the move was in order to give room and opportunity to the residents here, who were experiencing emotional stress to be guided by experienced counsellors.

‘’We will provide counsellors from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) who will be stationed here,’’ she told a media conference at the disaster operations room at the Medan 88, here, today.

Rina hoped KPWKM realised that the implementation of EMCO, MCO and CMCO during a long period of time would not only impact on the finances of the people but also their emotions.

Earlier, Rina was present in Medan 88 to hand over 200 food packs to the frontliners on duty there.
